Balloon launch

On 12th June 2014, Dr Mark Neal ran an event at Ysgol Cymraeg in Aberystwyth to launch a high altitude balloon to take pictures of Aberystwyth from space. The highest altitude recorded was approximately 16 miles. The balloon carried a GoPro camera and took pictures as it ascended.

The BBC covered this in their news item "Ceredigion school pupils' space capsule takes Wales photos"
